Preface deep, of a realized being? Is it possible to be wholly in the moment and in the being of one who is enlightened? Is it possible in the moment for the impurities and colours of mind to dissolve and for the pure light of the soul to be everywhere? Is it possible, is it possible? Yes, yes, and again, yes. Such is the purity radiating from Dr Shankar, even through words on a page such as in the chapter ‘Purity’. Such a wonder. Inexpres- sible gratitude to the author.
The Latins invented the word ‘neutral’ - neuter - meaning neither one or other of the two, neither this nor that. Such is life as presented so beautifully in this chapter. Without there being any intention to do so or any judgement about the illusory world of judgement, criticism and comment that circulates endlessly in man’s mind, entertaining and torturing him in turn, the release from believing in this circus is the gift of this chapter. Nor is it a gift for it is life being itself and expressing itself as life. Hold on to nothing for there is nothing to hold on to, least of all mind’s realities. There is no touch of individuality in any moment……………
