Balance (10)

“Steady”

Understand that the phase of life you are meant to go through you will go through, whether you like it or not. Understand that you cannot go through any other phase than the phase you are going through.

Understand that you do not have any control over the phase you are going through. What every phase brings you is for understanding to happen that life is always in balance, which is not the balance for your mind.

How much do you trust that life will do only good for you? Very little. Do you have implicit trust that no matter what life does will be only the thing good for you? Understand that you look forward into the unknown; you are very limited because you cannot see into the unknown.

Life will flow the way it is meant to flow. Life’s flow will be a disarrangement for the mind. Mind with thought will say, I can look into life. Understand that the mind cannot even look into a moment in life when it happens.

The mind cannot look into the moment as it happens in life because the mind, with thoughts, is not there at all to look into life as it flows. The mind is not even looking forward; it is looking backward into memory.

Understand that memory creates the illusion that it is looking forward. How can the mind look forward when it is neither here nor in the future? The mind is at the back, in the past, which is memory.

Understand that this is the balancing act the ego does, tilting to the past and to the future. Is it not so? But the unknown balance, which is the ‘here and now’ moment, is not in the mind with thoughts.

Understand that in the ‘here and now’ moment the balance is exquisite. It is the balance of life that the mind with thoughts cannot know. The balance of logic the ego will definitely know. It is not the balance in life.

The balance of logic is either the past or the future. The balance of logic in the mind with thoughts makes the ego exist. The logic will make you look that life is not in balance.

The paradox is that life is beyond the balance of the ego. It is so exquisite; the mind with knowledge can never understand it. Knowledge, which is in memory, is limited in its capacity to understand the balance in life.

The enlightened with wisdom understand that memory hides the aliveness of life.

Editor’s Note:
Mind is provided to man by the intelligence of life to attend with precision and determination to details in daily living. It is a means for communication where and when needed. Mind with thoughts is not equipped to attain enlightenment. Through its efforts to find its own balance in life, it habitually seeks alteration and change, if necessary by force, to do so. Is it not with our profound gratitude that the lucid understanding of the wise is gifted in this series of articles entitled Balance? Understanding the balance of life and the balance of mind with thoughts releases man from preoccupation with believing that he can plan his own life, if it is meant to be so.
