Contradictory

“Behaviour”

Wild animals are naturally contradictory. Being contradictory is not behaviour to wild animals because wild animals are not loving and kind when they hunt. If wild animals were loving and kind when they hunt, then being contradictory would be behaviour to them.

Domesticated pets, which are animals, are loving and kind and never contradictory to the owners. Domesticated pets may be contradictory to others or to other domesticated pets, but they eventually become friends and are loving and kind to them.

God has manifested wild animals and domesticated pets as well. Both animals and domesticated pets nevertheless do not know God or pray to God or sing songs of praise to God. Therefore, when animals and pets are contradictory, it is normal.

Man and woman have evolved from an animal. They are nevertheless sophisticated animals.  Therefore, a man or a woman may be either a sophisticated, wild animal or a sophisticated, pet animal. They are sophisticated either with knowledge or with wisdom.

When they have only knowledge as conditioned beliefs, they are either contradictory or loving and kind according to their beliefs, wishes, wants and desires. When their beliefs, wishes, wants and desires are not met, they become contradictory.

When their beliefs, wishes, wants and desires are met, they are kind and loving. Therefore, in the case of a man and woman with beliefs, their behaviour is contradictive when their beliefs are not met. They behave with love and kindness when their beliefs are met.

Though man and woman know God, pray and sing songs of praise to God, nevertheless both being contradictory and being kind and loving is behaviour to a man and woman with beliefs of daily life.

Their beliefs of daily life do not reflect that they have understood that God has manifested everyone. If they had understood, they would only be kind and loving and never contradictory.

Man and woman, with wisdom and deep understanding that God as light has manifested everyone, are human beings who are always loving and kind in every moment of daily life.

A wise man or woman’s devotion to God always reaches God. A wise man need not go to a temple or to a church to visit God, pray to God or sing songs of praise to God. This is because his devotion is such that where he is is a temple or a church. His words of love and kindness to each member of his family or to anyone are a song of praise to God. God as life appreciates such a human being.

Editor’s Note:
The expressions of nature have always astonished and fascinated human beings of any age. A visit to the forest, to the zoo or to the ocean never fails to stimulate questions and observations. Furthermore, we are all concerned for the welfare of our natural environment and become anxious when damage or deprivation threatens its fundamental well-being. The deep understanding of and the love for God’s creation, as gifted in this article by the wise, serves to remind man of his own behaviour.
Julian Capper, UK.

German Translator’s Note:
Dr. Shankar in the article “contradictory” explains how the conditioned mind of man and woman prevents their devotion to reach God. However, every religion, understood with true devotion instead of contradiction, leads to love and wisdom.  This understanding, by deepening true devotion to God, of whatever form it may be imagined, makes man and woman wise and finally so near to God that even the image dissapears as real. God is light and man is a transient manifestation of light or God.
Marcus Stegmaier, Germany.
