Fate

“Uncontrollable”

Fate means the development of events outside a person's control, regarded as predetermined by a supernatural power. This signifies that since man comes to know his fate in a particular moment in life, that particular moment in life and any moment in life is manifested by a supernatural power and not by man.

Wisdom reveals that matter, vegetation, animal kingdom and humans live in every moment of life. Wisdom also reveals that the moment in life was in life much before matter, vegetation, animal kingdom and humans were in life, so that the moment could accommodate them.

Wisdom reveals that fate is uncontrollable. This wisdom needs understanding.

Wisdom further reveals that what is in the moment cannot be other than what is in the moment.

This signifies the matter that is in the moment cannot be another matter than the matter which is in the moment. Wisdom also reveals the fate of the matter in the moment cannot have a different fate than the fate it has in the moment.

This further signifies the vegetation that is in the moment cannot be other vegetation than the vegetation which is in the moment. Wisdom also reveals the fate of vegetation in the moment cannot have a different fate than the fate the particular vegetation has in the moment.

This further signifies the species of animal that is in the moment cannot be a species other than the species which is in the moment. Wisdom also reveals the fate of the species of animal in the moment cannot have a different fate than the fate the particular species of animal has in the moment.

For the same reasons humans that are in the moment cannot be a different human than the human who is in the moment. Wisdom also reveals the fate of the human in the moment cannot have a different fate than the fate the particular human has in the moment.

Wisdom, therefore, reveals that fate is uncontrollable. Fate happens as it is meant to happen for each living and non-living entity in every moment in their respective lifetime.

The enlightened accept with unconditional love and compassion each living and non-living entity with the fate that they have in any moment. The enlightened do not expect them to have a different fate than the fate that they have.

Editor’s note:
Any significant event that may happen in a person’s life for which he or she cannot claim any responsibility or intention may be ascribed to an unknown force. This force has often been personalised in classical literature and may signify a negative outcome. Not so with the wise who are revealing acceptance of each moment and what it contains. This is such a gift in every man and woman’s journey of life.
