Moment 2
“Intelligence as Humans”
Man is in every moment in life. This signifies that a moment is needed in life for man to be in it. Man merely believes that he can make a moment to do, to speak or to think.
Man takes it for granted that he can make a moment because he can do, speak and think in the moment, because the doing, speaking and thinking happen to man and man cannot make them happen.
The questions are: can man make a moment in life to be in the moment? Can man make a moment in life to do anything? Can man make a moment in life to say anything? Can man make a moment in life to think anything? The answer why man cannot make a moment in life is given in the article ‘Moment 1.’
The enlightened have proclaimed that man does not make any moment in life and cannot make any moment in life either. So what is the understanding of the moment in life by the enlightened is the question?
The understanding of the moment in life by the enlightened is: Man cannot make a moment in life, because he needs to be in the moment in order to make a moment. But man cannot be in the moment without a moment being there.
This signifies that man cannot make a moment and that the moment renews itself every moment continuously, uncontrollably and unpredictably by the intelligence in life.
The understanding of the moment in life by the enlightened is: a moment in life is a gift to man by the intelligence in life, because man cannot give this gift, not only to himself, but also to another human being.
The understanding of the moment in life by the enlightened is: his life in the moment is a gift to man by the intelligence in life, because man cannot give his life, not only to himself, but also to another human being their own life.
The understanding of the moment in life by the enlightened is: man is aware of the moment in his life, which is a gift to man by the intelligence in life, because man cannot give awareness of the moment in life, not only to himself, but also to another human being an awareness of their own lives.
The understanding of the moment in life by the enlightened is: man is aware of the moment in his life without doing anything in the moment, which is a gift to man by the intelligence in life, because man cannot do anything in the moment. This also means that man has what he is meant to have in the moment.

Editor’s note:
Man strives to bring into his life or achieve what he wishes for or desires. He strives to avoid or remove whatever comes into his life that he does not wish for or desire. On the other hand, he sets goals that he believes he can and, indeed, has achieved. Thus, he or she may swing between disappointment and satisfaction. There are no such swings in life, nor in the intelligence of life. Furthermore, the wise understand that a moment in man’s life and in theirs too has been granted. It has been entrusted to them to take care of this creation that exists in the moment. Isn’t this a wonder of wonders? It never ever wavers.

German Translator’s Note:
Man is in a catch-22 situation: The enlightened are contented every moment of their lifes. Man, on the other hand, is not contented every moment of his life. If he would understand that he is not the doer, he would be contented every moment, because he would accept the moment and all that is contained in the moment as it is, and this is why the enlightened are contented every moment.
The catch-22 situation is, that man cannot make himself understand that he is not the doer in order to be contented every moment, because man does not make the moment in order to make himself understand that he is not the doer. So what is the understanding of the enlightened which happened to them in the moment without them making the understanding that makes them contented in every moment, is the question?
Dr. Shankar reveals the happening of an understanding in every catch-22 situation of man‘s life as catch-22 in the mind and not in life. Read the article “Moment 2” and ponder deeply, albeit illusory!
