Moving 1
“Here and Now”
A human sperm and a human ovum are moving ‘Here and Now’ while they are maturing. A human sperm and a human ovum are moving ‘Here and Now’ as they approach each other to fertilize ‘Here and Now’.
After fertilization the fertilized human sperm and ovum are moving ‘Here and Now’ as an embryo. Every cell in the embryo is moving ‘Here and Now’ to form a foetus.
Similarly, every cell in the foetus is moving ‘Here and Now’ to form a child in the mother’s womb. Also, every cell is moving ‘Here and Now’ as the child within the mother’s womb is delivered to exist in the world.
A child’s head and eyes move ‘Here and Now’, but a child does not know that its head and eyes move or are moving ‘Here and Now’ or that it is moving its head and eyes or is able to move its head and eyes ‘Here and Now’.
A child’s hands and feet keep moving, but a child does not know that its hands and feet are moving or that it is moving its hands and feet or is able to move its hands and feet.
Every cell of the young boy or girl is moving ‘Here and Now’ and this moving in the ‘Here and Now’ appears as actions of the young boy or girl in the ‘Here and Now’.
Every cell of the young man or young woman is moving ‘Here and Now’ and this moving in the ‘Here and Now’ appears as an adult man or woman in the ‘Here and Now’.
Every cell of an adult man and an adult woman is moving ‘Here and Now’ and this moving in the ‘Here and Now’ appears as actions of an adult man or an adult woman in the ‘Here and Now’.
The ‘Here and Now’ moment is not separate from the next ‘Here and Now’ moment, because in between a ‘Here and Now’ moment and the next ‘Here and Now’ moment is a ‘Here and Now’ moment as well.
Since only moving is present in the ‘Here and Now’ moment, it signifies that in any ‘Here and Now’ moment there is only moving in any ‘Here and Now’ moment. Furthermore, the actions of a young/ adult man and a young/ adult woman in the ‘Here and Now’ moment are illusory and not real.
The enlightened have rightly proclaimed that actions are illusory and not real.

Editor’s Note:
In nature, moving and movement offer an impressive display: the speed of a cheetah or a shooting star, for example, and, in the man-made world, the lift-off of a rocket or the emission of a bullet. These are among the countless expressions of life that, to the human mind, give rise to actions, albeit in appearance only. The intelligence in life transforms moving in the Here and Now into the appearance of reality that is, nonetheless, illusory. Understanding this is the beginning of enlightenment.

German Translator’s Note:
In spiritual and scientific circles one asks oneself the question of free will with interest. It is often stated that freedom of action is an illusion. This claim leads to the question of whether man's actions are predetermined. In the animal kingdom rudimentary acts are also assumed to the animals. Plants, on the other hand, are not considered to do actions. And yet developmental stages of plants are brought into a causal connection. The question of predestination arises as long as one believes in the reality of actions. Dr. Shankar shares the deep understanding of the enlightened that actions themselves are illusory. Thus one can also understand that the question of determinism in a world without action and without real causal connections is obsolete. Entire life moves as light, the movement of separate entities is an illusion in the mind of man; the illusion is light too.
