Seed 1
“Vegetation”
Where did the first seed for vegetation come from? There is nothing within any seed of vegetation. How does nothing become a seed of vegetation so that vegetation could come? There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does a plant come from nothing? There is nothing within any seed of vegetation. How does colour and shape for a plant come from nothing?
There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does a tree come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How does colour and shape of a tree come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does a flower come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How does the pattern of a flower come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does colour for a flower come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How does the pattern of colours for a flower come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does fragrance for a flower come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How does different fragrance for different flowers come from nothing?
There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does a fruit come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How does a shape of a fruit come from nothing?
There is nothing within a seed. How do different shapes of fruit come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does taste for a fruit from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How do different tastes for different fruits come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed of vegetation. How does consistency of a fruit come from nothing? There is nothing within a seed. How do different consistencies for different fruits come from nothing?
Humans with knowledge take a seed for vegetation and whatever comes out of the particular seed for granted. They do not understand the wisdom of any seed of vegetation and the wisdom of whatever comes out of any particular seed of vegetation. Because knowledge takes a seed of vegetation and whatever comes out of that particular seed for granted, judgmentsand emotions of varying intensities are present in the mind of humans about vegetation.
Humans with wisdom of a vegetation seed and wisdom of whatever comes out of any seed of vegetation, however, accept every seed as it is and accept whatever comes out of any seed of vegetation without judgments. So what is the wisdom of any vegetation seed, is the question? It is paradoxical that it is knowledge of a vegetation seed that reveals wisdom of a vegetation seed, when the meaning implied by knowledge of a vegetation seed is deeply understood by humans.
The meaning conveyed by the scientific knowledge of a vegetation seed is that every atom of any vegetation seed is light. The deep meaning of this scientific knowledge reveals wisdom that any vegetation seed is an illusion of light, including whatever comes out of the seed of vegetation. Wisdom further implies that the illusion of light of any vegetation cannot be any other illusion than the illusion which is present in any moment.
The enlightened understand this wisdom of vegetation seed and, therefore, accept every vegetation as it is in any moment. They do not expect it to be other than what the vegetation is in any moment.

Editor’s Note:
A seed of vegetation is well known to human beings. How it grows and flourishes as a plant after it is sown in the earth, with its distinctive features, is never questioned. If the seed fails to develop as it is expected to, there is disappointment, if not anguish. The wise, on the other hand, with a deep understanding of the wisdom of seed, reveal its illusory nature and have no such expectations.
Julian Capper, UK.
German Translator’s Note:
Plant seeds serve humanity and animals as indispensable livelihoods. Therefore, you put a lot of hope in everything that comes from a vegetative seed. With the greatest effort, the seed is planted and nurtured until it brings the hoped-for harvest. But until then it is a long and unpredictable way: The sun must not be too strong, as in a drought. The rain must come continuously, depending on the plant, and must not lead to a flood. And finally, the plants must not fall prey to pests. Only then can the harvest be retracted. Thus, the harvest of a plant seed is dependent on the whole of nature and man is also nature. The spectacle of light, which from nothing makes a rich vegetation, which serves the human being as the basis of life, is a miracle!
Marcus Stegmaier, Germany.
