Spontaneous

“Suddenly”

Life is full of events and an event is defined as being spontaneous if the event occurs without an apparent external cause. The enlightened, however, have indicated that life flows like a river and a cause for a river or its flow can never be determined by physics or science.

Every cause, according to logic, reason and science needs another cause and so ad infinitum. Therefore, neither the last cause nor the first cause can ever be determined. This implies that life is without a cause, which is what the enlightened have also indicated.

If life is without a cause it further implies that an event or events in life happen spontaneously, meaning suddenly without any external or internal cause.

The planets in the universe rotate spontaneously, the sun and the moon shine spontaneously, the stars twinkle spontaneously, the sky is up spontaneously, the seasons cycle spontaneously, the variety in life evolves spontaneously.

Every speck of life evolves continuously, spontaneously, uncontrollably and unpredictably. Thoughts come and go spontaneously and so does sleep and waking up from sleep. Feelings too come and go spontaneously when they are meant to come and go.

Growth evolves to happen spontaneously and so do seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touch evolve and happen spontaneously. Instinct too evolves and so too every aspect of instinct evolves and happens spontaneously, which includes movement.

The most important aspect of life is the moment in which we live. In the moment there is only evolution and evolution is a spontaneous, uncontrollable and unpredictable movement.

The movement of evolving life in every moment, however, appears spontaneously as illusory: actions, speaking and thinking, because the duration of time within an evolving moment has not been defined as yet by science and time is needed for man to be able to do, speak or think.

Man believes that he can do, speak and think, but what he does not understand is that they all evolve to happen spontaneously, meaning suddenly without a cause to him.

Therefore, the enlightened have rightly indicated that life is a river that flows spontaneously without a cause. When this understanding happens to man or woman he or she flows with life as it happens.

Editor’s Note:
There is no thing in life that is not a spontaneous happening within the moment that is. Man too is a spontaneous happening that follows no planning nor is the outcome of any event. Life will just not be controlled nor any expression of existence within it. What is more, there is no expression of existence beyond it for there is no beyond what is. Nonetheless, the energy and intelligence man has recourse to is measured to him or her as it is meant to be. The flowing river of life flows for everyone - as revealed by the enlightened; as does our gratitude.

German Translator’s Note:
As the enlightened have proclaimed, life is a spontaneous flow and man only thinks, from time to time, that something has happened spontaneously, when he did not have any planning thought beforehand. But how precise could the planning be, even if it happens? Not very precise, but pretty vague! So we have to admit: Even apparently planned actions are mostly a spontaneous happening. There are so many aspects of an action which could never be planned beforehand. An even deeper understanding is shared here with humanity: Literally every aspect of any action happens spontaneous and only appears as planned or unplanned in the mind, albeit illusory. Read Dr. Shankar’s article “Spontaneous“ once again! The sharing as well as the understanding happens spontaneously too. Life is wonderful!
