To Contemplate (2)

“Does not”

Whenever the educated or the uneducated man or woman doesnot contemplate the way he or she is expected to, it is neither applauded nor appreciated. The same is not expected every time he or she wants to contemplate.

The non-appreciation of what is contemplated happens in the moment and is known in the moment by those who expect him or her to contemplate.

Wisdom reveals that every moment in life renews itself and in between a moment in the mind and in life is moment as well. This signifies that a moment inlife and in the mind is eternal.

Brain scans reveal that decisions happen seven seconds before man decides. The scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences reveal that human decisions are made seconds before humans become aware of them.

In the study, participants could freely decide if they wanted to press a button with their right or left hand. The only condition was that they had to remember when they made the decision to use either their right hand or left hand.

Using FMRI, researchers scanned the brains of the participants to find out if they could predict which hand the participants would use before participants were consciously aware of the decision.

The results, by monitoring the micro patterns of activity in the front-polar cortex, were that the researchers could predict which hand the participant would choose seven seconds before the participant was aware of the decision.

Wisdom reveals that this is proof that man neither decides nor reasons nor predicts norpredetermines. Wisdom reveals that even the movement of the hand to press the button happens and the brain does not make the movement happen in the moment.

Wisdom further reveals that contemplation happens for understanding to happen that only moving of thoughts is in every moment and that every moment is only moving. Also, for wise understanding to happen that moving of thoughts in every moment is instinct and instinct cannot be controlled by man or his brain.

Man or woman does not contemplate the way he or she is expected to contemplate happens for understanding to happen that contemplation is not an actuality in a moment. Man or woman does not contemplate the way he or she is expected to reason happens for understanding to happen that contemplation in any moment is illusory and not real. Man or woman does not contemplate the way he or she is expected to reason happens for understanding to happen that contemplation is not present, but only moving of thoughts is present. Also, for understanding to happen that moving of thoughts, albeit illusory, in any moment is instinct.

The moving of thoughts happens for understanding to happen that when the moving of thoughtsis accepted as contemplation, it is believed that man and woman can contemplate and know how to contemplate and what to contemplate.

Wisdom reveals that contemplation is not done in the moment because life is only moving in the moment. Wisdom also reveals that the intelligence in life manifests the moving of thoughts and man or woman does not make the moving of thoughts, which is instinct in the moment, because they do not make the moment in life.

The enlightened accept what man or woman contemplatesand do not expect them to contemplate in a particular manner, because they understand that contemplation is not present, but only instinct is present in any moment in life. The enlightened proclaim that man or woman will contemplate what he or she is meant to contemplate, albeit illusory.

Sri Ramana Maharishi has declared that what is meant to happen, albeit illusory, will happen. Sri Adi Shankaracharya has declared that man is not the doer in Nirvanashadakam. Kenopanishad verse (1.3) declares that word and mind cannot access the Absolute One. Bhagwat Gita chapter 3 verse 27 declares that man is not the doer.

The enlightened understand that the moving of thoughts is instinct in any moment and is manifested by the intelligence in life and is done neither by man nor by his brain. The enlightened have declared that life is a singular movement.

Editor’s Note:
The moment is the heart of the matter. It is the word on the tongue of every human being. It is used universally to indicate a very brief period of time: ‘Wait a moment’; ‘be with you in a moment’; ‘it’ll only take a moment’; ‘this is the moment I’ve been waiting for’; ‘I’ve only got a moment.’ Such is the meaning gifted to this word by mind. Wisdom, however, in this article and elsewhere, reveals that ‘every moment in life renews itself’. Furthermore, ‘in between a moment in the mind and in life is moment as well’. Thus the meaning gifted to this word by wisdom is eternity. Wisdom is gifting renewal of life, no less, to those who come to understand this.

German Translator’s Note:
Thinking and contemplation are assigned a decisive role in human life. Thinking to solve problems, contemplation to think about thinking and other philosophical problems. If contemplation does not happen, man lacks a deeper instance of self-reflection beyond the everyday, which he takes for granted. But the happening or non-happening of contemplation is not in the hands of man. It is the decisive gift of life to man! Therefore, these articles by Dr. Shankar are the most valuable thing one can encounter in life.
