To do spiritual (2)

“Does not do”

An educated or uneducated man and woman do not wish, want or desire to do what is not spiritual in life. The spiritual action that they do not do in life is known in the moment only after the spiritual doing is not done by them.

Whenever the educated or the uneducated man or woman does not do what is spiritual in life, they are not contented or happy for not doing what they consider is spiritual.

The educated or uneducated man and woman believe that they will not be contented or happy in every moment in life if spiritual action is not done earnestly in life.

Furthermore, every educated or uneducated man and woman, who do not do what is spiritual, do know that they are in fear and also believe that they will not fear life if spiritual action is done.  This is known in the moment in life as well.

Wisdom reveals that every moment in life renews itself and in between a moment in the mind and in life is moment as well. This signifies that a moment in life and in the mind is eternal.

Brain scans reveal that decisions happen seven seconds before man decides. The scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences reveal that human decisions are made seconds before humans become aware of them.

In the study, participants could freely decide if they wanted to press a button with their right or left hand. The only condition was that they had to remember when they made the decision to use either their right hand or left hand.

Using FMRI, researchers scanned the brains of the participants to find out if they could predict which hand the participants would use before participants were consciously aware of the decision.

The results, by monitoring the micro patterns of activity in the front-polar cortex, were that the researchers could predict which hand the participant would choose seven seconds before the participant was aware of the decision.

Wisdom reveals that this is proof that man neither decides nor predicts nor predetermines. Wisdom reveals that even the movement of the hand to press the button happens and the brain does not make the movement happen in the moment. Also, for wise understanding to happen that moving in every moment is instinct and instinct cannot be controlled by man or his brain.

The thought that spiritual technique is not done happens for understanding to happen that spiritual technique is not an actuality in a moment. The thought that spiritual technique is not done happens for understanding to happen that the spiritual technique in any moment is illusory and not real. The thought that spiritual technique is not done happens for understanding to happen that the spiritual technique is not present, but only moving is present in every moment.

The moving happens for understanding to happen that when the moving is accepted as a spiritual technique, it is believed that man and woman do a spiritual technique which he or she is expected to do.

Wisdom reveals that a spiritual technique cannot be done in the moment because life is only moving in the moment. Wisdom also reveals that the intelligence in life manifests the moving and man or woman do not make the moving in the moment happen. This is because they do not make the moment in life.

The enlightened accept man or woman as they are and do not expect them to do anything spiritual because they understand that doing something spiritual is not present, but only moving is present in any moment in life. The enlightened proclaim that what is meant not to happen, albeit illusory, will not happen.

Sri Ramana Maharishi has declared that what is meant to happen, albeit illusory, will happen. Sri Adi Shankaracharya has declared that man is not the doer in Nirvanashadakam. Kenopanishad verse (1.3) declares that Word and mind cannot access the Absolute One. Bhagwat Gita chapter 3 verse 27 declares that man is not the doer.

The enlightened understand that the moving is instinct in any moment and is manifested by the intelligence in life and is neither done by man nor by his brain. The enlightened have declared that life is a singular movement.

Editor’s Note
The scope of spirit is immeasurable and unimaginable. In the physical world it cannot be seen, touched, tasted, smelled, heard, tasted or even known, for it is bodiless among the embodied. In the context of language the name spirit has transformed into a way of living and behaving – a spiritual life. Practice of a spiritual life is common to thousands of people in almost every part of the living world. The spiritual technique has many expressions, but, if not practised, fear and discontent may be experienced. The enlightened, however, are sharing their understanding here that neither the spirit nor the spiritual technique are present in any moment; they are illusory.

German Translator‘s Note:
Repetition has an enormous power over the human mind. And this even though there is no real repetition in life, because life is an eternal flow without beginning and end. Repetition of a spiritual technique has the power to give security to the practitioner. But if the spiritual technique, which, as Dr. Shankar explains here, is a thought in the mind and not a reality in life, does not happen, the illusory repetition unfolds its full power to appear real: Fear, despair, accusations, blame, etc. happen when the expected spiritual action does not happen. Man wants to practice becoming a non-doer by means of a spiritual technique. He or she does not notice and does not suspect that it is precisely the happening and non-happening of the spiritual technique that continue to hold him or her captive in the illusion of being a doer. This is the power of illusion!
