What is a moment?

Man is certain that life happens every moment. This means that one moment follows the next moment to make life. Man is equally certain that every second time happens. This once again means that one second follows the next second to make time. It therefore means that every moment follows the next moment to make life, and one second has to follow the next second every moment to make time. This means that life and time happen together every moment, and a moment in life or time is a second.

But, according to science, life happens much faster than a second. Therefore, it is not possible that time and life could happen together. If time and life do not happen together where could time possibly happen?

If time happens separately from life, but still be in life, the moment time happens can never be known, as life happens faster than one second. Therefore, time cannot possibly happen in life.

Man is certain that a moment in life and time is a brief period. It has to be so, as every person is either slower or faster than the other, but never identical. Therefore, a moment in life cannot be the same to every man, but a second in time is the same for every man. The phrase ‘every second lost is time lost’ is a testimony to this belief.

A moment in life can be separate from the next moment if a boundary separates them. The boundary exists as an imagination and not as an actual reality. Therefore, a brief period in life is an imagination and not actual reality. Similarly, a second in time can be separate from the next second if a watch indicates a boundary between the two. A watch, however, does not indicate a boundary between one second and the next. This means a watch does not measure time; it merely defines time. Therefore, a visual definition of time is an imagination of reality, but not an actual reality.

What does this mean? This means that time is absent in a moment of life. As life happens every moment, this can only mean that the entire life is timeless. Similarly, as time between one second and the next is an imagination, the time in man’s entire life exists as an imagination and not as an actual reality.

Man does nothing to make a moment in life or time happen. Nevertheless, life happens, and man knows that he does many things, speaks many languages, and has many thoughts, including time. But this assertion by man cannot be validated by science as a real possibility. It can, however, be validated by science as an illusory possibility.

So what is a moment? A moment in time is an imagination, and a moment in life is timeless and therefore eternal.
