Worry (2)

“Expectation”

Man and woman worry when everyday life does not go according to their expectation. Man and woman do not worry when daily life goes according to their expectation.

The worry persists until their expectation of life goes the way they expect life to go. Worry nevertheless resurfaces once again when expectation of how life should go does not happen.

Knowledge infuses man and woman with expectations in life. Knowledge of worry keeps man and woman anxious, impatient and hope that their expectations in daily life do happen.

Knowledge reveals that worry is of different intensities. When worry is minimal it is usually tolerated with disappointment until expectations do happen. When worry is maximum, it is not tolerated and anger of different intensities with consequences is the usual outcome of worry.

Knowledge reveals that expectations may or may not happen in life.

Wisdom of worry, on the other hand, keeps man and woman patient with trust in life in every moment and they do not worry no matter whether expectations happen or do not happen in life.

What is the wisdom regarding worry with respect to expectation, is the question?

Wisdom reveals that man and woman have expectation in life in the moment. Wisdom reveals that man and woman also worry in the moment in life. Wisdom reveals to man and woman that knowledge has many expectations in life.

Wisdom reveals that a moment in life is made neither by man nor by woman. Wisdom reveals that a moment in life accommodated vegetation and animal much before the moment accommodated man and woman within it.

Wisdom reveals that neither vegetation nor animals make any moment in life. Wisdom reveals that the moment in life is manifested by the intelligence in life spontaneously, uncontrollably and unpredictably.

Wisdom reveals that the intelligence in life replaces every moment in life with another moment.  Wisdom reveals that in between a moment and the next is moment as well.

Wisdom reveals that the intelligence in life renews what is within every moment that it replaces. Wisdom reveals that the intelligence in the moment manifests what is renewed within the moment.

Wisdom reveals that what is renewed within the moment cannot be other than what is renewed within the moment by the intelligence in life. Wisdom reveals that man cannot make what is renewed in the moment by the intelligence in life, because man does not make the intelligence in life.

Man and woman with wisdom, therefore, are patient in every moment in life and trust life in every moment in life. Nor do they worry in the moment nor worry about the expectation in the moment. The wise do not get angry and are free of its consequences due to worry with respect to expectation.

The enlightened face life as it happens in every moment in life. The enlightened live life that happens to them every moment.

Editor’s Note:
Worry is man’s constant but unwelcome companion in daily life. It arrives when an action or outcome that is expected or needed is thwarted or fails. However, mankind is not without guidance. We can share the deep understanding of a wise man on our way: it is the supreme gift of the intelligence of life. The transformative energy arising from the words of Dr Shankar in these articles is not only unexpected, but also welcome, for it gradually dissolves the worries that bind us. Let us live this life as it happens, moment to moment.

German Translator‘s Note:
The connection between anger, rage and worry, as described here in this article, is the key to serenity that most people are  yet to find. Grateful for this hint is the reader of wisdom if the clear understanding happens to him that any anger and rage is an indication of his own underlying expectations that cause worry without the ego being aware of it. Unwanted emotions cannot be trained down as the mind believes, but an understanding can happen that transforms these emotions into compassion, patience and love. This is the mysterious alchemy of wisdom.
